In Malawi if you want to build a house you need bricks. You start by molding bricks from mud then you must stack them into a kiln and prepare to burn. The burning takes place at night because there is less wind and you must keep it going for at least 12 hours. Its an atmosphere of a grown man sleep over, with no shortage of jokes and opinions of life, women, music and food.
The heat from the fire turns the bottom bricks red hot and the heat transfers to the higher bricks until the mud blocks are now hardened and ready to be transformed into a home.
